The immune system is our main protection from sickness and disease. While being a strong force in our body, it is also very delicate in its balance and function. Immune modulation is more than just boosting the body’s immune system. It involves bringing the ratio of the different immune cells back into balance to enable the immune system to function correctly. This is very different from simply stimulating the immune system. Restoring healthy immune function is especially important for patients suffering from autoimmune disorders and cancer.
Boosting the immune system is good - fixing it is better - Philip Battiade
Our cellular immune system is made up of a whole array of different cells that work together to protect us from disease. These cells do not simply need to be present, but also have to be present in the correct ratios to one another in order to function effectively as a team. An immune defect can occur when these cells are no longer balanced in their ratios to one another.
To illustrate how our immune system functions consider the following example: Suppressor cells control the action of the natural killer cells and prevent them from attacking our own tissue. If the suppressor cells are not present in sufficient numbers in relation to the natural killer cells we may develop an autoimmune disease. In this case, boosting the immune system could increase the autoimmune response, making symptoms worse. A better approach may be to modulate the immune system to increase the number of suppressor cells. In our philosophy, immune modulation plays a key role in the treatment of cancer and autoimmune disease.
A typical thymus therapy program involves a course of injections using thymus peptides. This therapy is an important, if not the most important, non-specific immunotherapy. The therapy causes an activating and balancing of the cellular immune system. The method traces back to Dr. Elis Sandberg from Sweden, who was having promising results in treating chronic diseases and cancer as far back as 1938. By the 1980’s Sandberg had successfully treated more than 50,000 patients. In addition to the positive results of his treatment, many of his patients experienced significant anti-aging effects. Hundreds of patient have experienced these same effects at our Infusio treatment centers. Click on the image for more information.
The Infusio concept involves a 5-Step integrative approach to overcome health disorders. Regardless of what disease we help you to fight, we feel that these components form the core pillars of a successful therapy. Our motto is “Innovation through integration”.
